One Miami Beach apartment building. Two book lovers. A summer romance neither saw coming.
After her legal career comes to an embarrassing end, Liliane Lyon escapes to Miami Beach for a much-needed summer of sunshine, cocktails and uninterrupted reading. Renting an apartment at the charming Art Deco building known as The Icon, Lily hopes to forget her troubles and enjoy a fresh start.
But her plans for solitude quickly change when she meets Benedicto Romero, a university professor and aspiring poet who has come to the building for a quiet sabbatical.
Despite their different personalities, Lily and Ben discover a shared passion for books and storytelling. Their lively conversations and growing attraction lead to an unexpected connection, but the possibility of turning their literary chemistry into something lasting raises questions neither is prepared to answer.
Warm, witty and filled with Miami Beach atmosphere, Only Lovers in the Building is a delightful romantic comedy about second chances, unexpected friendships and discovering that the best love stories sometimes begin when life goes off script.
